How to get there

Porto is a major infrastructural hub of north Portugal, located 300km North of Lisbon, in a favorable geographical position in terms of access to the main European capitals.

                  

  

…by plane
The International Airport of Porto “Francisco Sa Carneiro Airport” is located 15km from the city centre and is favorably connected to downtown Proto by good public transport network (subway, bus, taxi). It serves about 60 destinations operating with the main regular airlines, offering both business class and low cost flights.

…by train
In north Portugal, Porto is the most important railway hub of all the cities. There are two main train stations: Estação de São Bento (São Bento Train Station) which is located in central Porto, in Praça Almeida Garrett. This is the terminal of regional trains which operate between Porto and other northern destinations such as Braga and Régua. Estação de Campanhã (Campanhã Train Station) is the terminal operating between Porto and the south of the country (including Lisbon). Travelling to Lisbon by train takes about three hours. Estação de Campanhã is also establishing international railway connections.

…by car
Porto is favorably connected via numerous motorways, making it easily accessible from all parts of the country and abroad. The motorways A 1 links Porto to Lisbon, A 4 provides the connection to Tras-os-Montes, whereas A 3 reaches all the way to Minho. Braga, Aveiro, Viana do Castelo are also linked via excellent motorway connection to Porto.
