The Congress Organizers are delighted to announce that EUROTOX 2015 will hand over three awards to Scientists for the best poster presentation of their research work. The following awards will be given during the Closing Ceremony on-site (September 16, 2015, 13h00 - 13h30).
Young Scientist Awards (YSA)
ESTIV Award
In general, the winners will be assigned according to the evaluation of these criteria:
1. Originality and potential impact of the research project
2. Adequacy of the methodological approach adopted
3. Scientific value of the results
4. Care, quality and clarity of the presentation
An initial selection of finalists will be made, based on careful review of the abstracts with final evaluation taking place at the congress site.
Young Scientist Awards (YSA)
Award Condition
The first and presenting author must be under 35 years of age as of 31 December, 2015.
Award Categories
The Young Scientist Award (YSA) comprises two categories, the EUROTOX Gerhard--‐Zbinden Award and the ECETOC Award:
EUROTOX Gerhard--‐Zbinden
This award will be given for drug-oriented toxicological research
- The winner will receive 1,000 EUR in cash on-site at the congress and a free con-gress registration
- In addition, the winner will receive 1,000 EUR to cover expenses (hotel, accommodation, transfer, etc.) for attending the next EUROTOX congress and a free congress registration for this successive edition
- The winner will also receive a free subscription to Elsevier’s Toxicology Letters
- The claim should be made directly to the EUROTOX Treasurer using the form ob-tained from the EUROTOX Secretariat (secretariat@eurotox.com)
ECETOC Christa Hennes
This Award will be given for toxicological research into mechanisms and risk as-sessment.
- The winner will receive 1,000 EUR in cash on-site at the congress and a free con-gress registration
- In addition, the winner will receive 1,000 EUR to cover expenses (hotel, accommodation, transfer, etc.) for attending the next EUROTOX congress and a free congress registration for this successive edition.
- The winner will also receive a free subscription to Elsevier’s Toxicology Letters
- The claim should be made directly to the EUROTOX Treasurer using the form ob-tained from the EUROTOX Secretariat (secretariat@eurotox.com)
ESTIV (European Society for Toxicology in vitro) Award
Award Condition
For the ESTIV award, there is no age limitation.
Award Criteria
- The winner will be selected based on scientific merit as judged by a committee assigned by the ESTIV scientific board
- The winner will be the presenting author of the selected poster.
- The winner (or a clearly assigned representative) must be present at the EUROTOX closing ceremony, where the award will be given
ESTIV Award for in vitro/in silico Toxicology
The ESTIV prize will be given for the best poster presentation in the categories: “Emerging in vitro Models” and “Computational Toxicology”
- The winner will receive 500 EUR (per bank transfer after the congress)
- The winner will be entitled to one year (2016) free ESTIV- membership, with all its benefits
- The winner must contact the ESTIV treasurer (treasurer@estiv.org) after the congress to claim the award.
